The first Ognisko Polskie Book Festival features leading authors who will be ‘in conversation’ during each session, discussing their approach to researching and writing, how their books evolved, in terms of the planning and the serendipity ! Tickets are valid for the entire day and the tea party, while the set lunch available in the restaurant is not included. There will also be a pop-up book shop hosted by Kensington Books, with authors available to sign copies.

3.15-4 pm: Writing Biographies of Poles with Clare Mulley, author of The Spy Who Loved and Agent Zo
4.15-5 pm: Translating Polish Authors with Antonia Lloyd-Jones, who has translated The Emporium and Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk; and Voracious by Malgorzata Lebda
5-6 pm Book Festival Tea Party, an opportunity to chat and reflect over a cup of tea and cake
