  • HRH Princess Michael of Kent: A Cheetah’s Tale

    THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT. Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of Kent is a writer, historian and lecturer. In her new book, A Cheetah’s Tale, the author describes aspects of her own early life travelling in Africa and raising a cheetah cub. This unusual experience in the 1960s sparked her lifelong interest in conservation, of big cats especially. Among the many charities she supports, Princess Michael is currently Royal Patron of the Endangered Species Centre in South Africa (predominantly cheetahs) and also of the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia. She lives with her husband, Prince Michael of Kent, in Kensington Palace in London. View

  • New Art Series - Ewa Gargulinska

    Join us this October for the first in a new art series at Ognisko Polskie. We will be hosting temporary exhibitions in the Members’ Room featuring the best in Polish contemporary artists. Our first artist is London-based Ewa Gargulinska whose paintings have been exhibited in Rome, Paris, Stockholm, Beijing, London with collectors such as Jeremy Irons and Dr. Arthur Sackler. The opening night with a wine reception is free to members. The exhibition which will then be available to view, by members, in the Members’ Room.   • Obozowe Tango Reunited Zabawa 2017 in aid of St.Briavels Fund

    We are happy to announce the return of the Obozowe Tango Reunited Zabawa in partnership with Ognisko Polskie - the Polish Hearth, and the award winning Ognisko Restaurant run by Jan Woroniecki. All the profits raised by the event will be donated to the St. Briavels fund project in Wales. This is a huge project and very close to the hearts of many of us, so if you would like to find out more, or make a donation please visit their website at "www.stanicastbriavels.uk". Ticket price includes a welcome drink, food and live music from “Partyzanci” from Brighton. Places are limited so please book early. Pre-booked tickets only. View
