We are happy to announce the latest of our monthly 'Musical Moments'. These concerts take place on the first Monday of every month and are followed by a buffet with wine. This month Olga Argo, Andrea Emanuele and Teresa Desiderio perform Dvorak and Mussorgsky.

The ‘Musical Moments’ concerts have been made possible by the very kind cooperation of The Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. We are very privileged in being able to present these young, highly talented musicians who are already making their mark in the music world.



Olga Argo

Olga Argo is an operatic Latvian soprano based in London. She is a highly accomplished freelance classical singer currently studying for her master’s degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Her studies were generously supported by a grant by The Henry Wood Accommodation Trust Fund. Her recent signature roles include Ariadne from Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos (November 2019), Zora from Ana Sokolovic’s Svadba (July 2019), Marschallin from Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier (April 2019) and La Contessa from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (December 2018). Olga’s repertoire extends from baroque to contemporary opera. She has performed at notable venues including London's Royal Festival Hall, The White House, The Queen’s House, Guards Chapel, Blackheath Halls and Kings Place, Singapore's House of Parliament, Jurmala's Dzintari Concert Hall in Latvia and Berkshire's Reading Town Hall. In addition, Olga Argo had the privilege to perform with The Queen’s Guards Orchestra, Reading Symphony Orchestra and Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony orchestra in London and Reading. Andrea Emanuele

A pianist with deep sensibility and a wide range of interests, Andrea Emanuele has his focus on solo repertoire, as well as chamber music. He has performed in prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Church of St. Martin in the Fields, St. James Church Piccadilly in London, Old Royal Naval College Chapel in Greenwich, the International Orestiadi Festival in Gibellina, the Teatro Manzoni in Pistoia. He has performed as a soloist with orchestra at Teatro Politeama in Palermo, Italy, with Mauro Visconti conducting, and at State Theatre of Vidin, Bulgaria, with Alfonso Todisco at the baton. He has recently been appointed Junior Fellow in Piano Accompaniment at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where he has been a student of Sergio de Simone, with the generous support of Trinity College London Scholarship. Prior to his arrival in London, under the guidance of Suor Anna Giovanna Messina and Marzia Manno, Andrea graduated from the Conservatoire of Palermo with Honours. He has attended masterclasses by internationally renowned artists, such as Pascal Rogé, Benedetto Lupo, Nina Tichman, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Joaquìn Achucarro, Daniel Rivera, Alessandro Damerini. Andrea has won several international competitions as a soloist and chamber musician. He has also been a finalist of the Jaques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition and, most recently, has won first prize in the International Piano Competition “Ischia”, piano four-hands section, together with Luz Duo partner Teresa Desiderio.

Teresa Desiderio

Teresa Desiderio commenced her studies at the Giuseppe Martucci Conservatoire in Salerno in 2007, where she studied piano initially with Francesco Scarico and later with Tiziana Silvestri. She graduated in 2014 with Honours, after which, she went on to postgraduate study there and obtained full marks for her Master in Piano Performance. Teresa was consequently awarded with several international prizes including First Prize at the "Cittá di Sapri Competition" in 2015 and First Prize at the "Mercato San Severino Competition" in 2016. Thanks to the support of the Emerton Christie Scholarship, she went on to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Piano Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2018, which she concluded with merit. Teresa has performed as a soloist in many cities including Florence, Naples and London. In November 2018, she participated as soloist for the ‘Dance and Ballet in Naples: a Dialogue with Europe’ event organized by the Pietà dei Turchini Foundation in collaboration with Teatro San Carlo. She also participated in the Inaugural Concert of the Musical Season of the Campana Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Giulio Marazia. In March 2018, she played with Trinity Laban Orchestra of London with conductor Alexander Walker at the Trinity Laban Theatre. Invited by the Sinfonietta Orchestra of Vidin (Bulgaria) Teresa debuts as a soloist under the baton of Alfonso Todisco later this year. She is currently under the tutelage of Maestro Sergio De Simone.
