We are happy to announce the latest of our monthly 'Musical Moments'. These concerts take place on the first Monday of every month and are followed by a buffet with wine. This month we welcome Sophie Clarke, Christopher Jeffery and Natacha Hansen performing Musical Theatre.
The ‘Musical Moments’ concerts have been made possible by the very kind cooperation of The Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. We are very privileged in being able to present these young, highly talented musicians who are already making their mark in the music world.
Sophie Clarke is a 20-year-old Musical Theatre student at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Her credits include mezzo-soprano soloist in Bernstein’s Mass at The Royal Festival Hall, London and solo singing for BCC One TV Show All Together Now. This summer, Sophie was selected to train in New York at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and was also one of three finalists for the Voice of Musical Theatre Competition at The International Eisteddfod. Recently, Sophie made her West End Debut in the one-off charity performance of ‘Singin In The Rain’ at The Adelphi Theatre hosted by Julian Clary.
Christopher Jeffery is a third year Musical Theatre student at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Recently, Christopher played Lloyd and Billy in a production of Jessica Swales play Blue Stockings in his home town of Cambridge where he has been involved in shows since the age of 14, including Les Misérables, Grease and Guys and Dolls. Chris decided to pursue acting at the age of 15 when he was selected as 1 in 300 out of 4500 auditionees, to take part in the annual National Youth Theatre Summer School in Greenwich. For the past 5 years Chris has been developing his musical abilities, teaching himself the guitar and piano, and writing his own songs. He hopes one day to write and musically direct his own musical.
Natacha Hansen is currently studying for a BMus in Classical Saxophone at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Since starting her studies in September 2018, she is now part of many ensembles within the conservatoire, and continues to perform at various events, including musicals, private parties, and competitions. This will be Natacha’s second time performing with Sophie and Chris and they’re so pleased she could join them at Faversham.
